Titleist 710 CB irons

The New Titleist 710 CB will take the place of its predecessor the 695cb in the forged cavity back category of Titleist's 2010 line-up.
The 710 CB at address has a slightly thinner top-line and shorter blade length than the 695cb. Titleist seems to be bringing back a head shape similar to the 670 model from 2004. I prefer the profile of the 695cb when dealing with my mishits that are generally near the toe. The 710 CB is certainly a step of two towards the look of a traditional blade, while offering a full cavity back and progressive CG (center of gravity) to provide a relative level of forgiveness in the long irons. The 710 CB also offers V grooves which are USGA conforming. The new groove should produce a degree of reduced spin but I did not see any such reduction hitting to greens that were firm at the time. The feel of the 710 CB is what you would expect if you have aver hit a Titleist forging. At impact they produce a pleasing click followed by soft yet solid feedback. the Titleist forging has always felt a bit firmer compared to mizuno and muira forgings. I personally prefer this solid feel forging compared to something a bit more buttery. Overall, I would say that the 710 CB is an exptional players irons with distinct lines and superb feel.
